Rod Sanders — CEO

Rod Sanders' expertise in sales and marketing has been developed by nearly 20 years in leadership and management positions. His business experience ranges from his beginnings as a manager in a retail grocery store who had worked his way up from the bottom of the chain, to managing hundreds of employees and millions of dollars in revenue.  As a business owner and CEO since 1989, Rod's career is distinguished by several national awards. His industry familiarity includes insurance, sales, marketing, financial, telecommunications, and publishing, among others. All his previous experiences and responsibilities came together when he negotiated the purchase of SIDCO Auto Network in September of 2005.  Rod has always had a passion for buying and selling cars and negotiating deals personally and for friends and ministries. On a personal level, Sanders is passionate about mentoring young business leaders in many industries nationwide helping them navigate the daily challenges they face from a biblical perspective. He and his wife Debbie have two two daughters, the oldest in College and the younger in high school.

Rod started developing his leadership and management skills around 1980, working in the retail grocery industry managing stores for two companies during a seven year period. He started at the bottom of the chain and worked his way up through all the departments the stores had at that time. In his last assignment, he was responsible for a 60,000 sq. ft. grocery store, a 30,000 sq. ft. lawn and garden store, and a 5,000 sq. ft. French Bistro. In all, Mr. Sanders was handling over 500 employees and revenues in excess of $600k per week.

Making a career change, he began in sales for a large national insurance agency in 1987 where he once again started at the bottom selling heath insurance to small business owners, and soon became one of the top performers of over 5,000 salesmen nationwide. He quickly saw the potential of the industry and began building a sales team that was often recognized for its growth and quality of business. He was promoted three times within his first year, ending up as one of twenty area marketing directors in the U.S. His territory covered Oklahoma and half of Texas. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing hundreds of sales representatives who produced over $300k per week in new policy premiums.

After seeing the potential and the need for quality leads for sales representatives, Mr. Sanders founded Innovative TeleSolutions in 1989. He built Innovative into a multi-million dollar sales and marketing Company by acquiring, servicing and growing clients that varied from small and medium-sized regional companies on up to Fortune 50 companies. Innovative has specialized in both lead generation and product sales in the telecommunications, financial, insurance, publishing, and vacation ownership industries. Under the leadership of Mr. Sanders, Innovative has been recognized and awarded twice as one of the fastest growing teleservice companies in the United States. He is the recipient of the 1994 Telephone Professional of the Year Award, which is given in recognition of individual excellence for making a "significant contribution to the industry by promoting teleservice as a profession and enhancing its image through local business activities and spearheading the innovative and creative use of the telephone as a medium for conducting business.

Besides his responsibilities as CEO of Innovative, Mr. Sanders has held a number of national and local responsibilities within the American TeleService Association. Mr. Sanders has served on the Board of Leadership Edge Inc. from 1994 - 2004, a non-profit organization designed to help equip college students for ethical and effective leadership. He is active in serving in many capacities in his local church, Hope Church of Fort Worth TX, since 1987. He also served for three years as the president of his home owner's community association. Mr. Sanders is passionate about mentoring young business leaders in many industries nationwide helping them navigate the daily challenges they face from a biblical perspective and helping young men grow in biblical wisdom.

All these responsibilities and experiences came together when after much consideration, prayer and counsel he negotiated the purchase of SIDCO Auto Network in September of 2005. He has always had a passion for buying and selling cars and negotiating deals personally and for friends and ministries. He found SIDCO three years earlier through a friend when looking to purchase a vehicle for his pastor, and loved the concept. It is his desire to grow SIDCO to help more individuals, families, professionals, and ministries to purchase the best vehicles for their needs and budgets over the coming years.

In 2000, Jeff was promoted to Financial Services Manager at Saturn of Lubbock based on his performance and understanding of the financial process. Jeff was instrumental in integration the internet into the dealership and financial process. Over the next four years, Jeff transitioned from finance manager to general sales manager while growing sales volume, revenue, and customer satisfaction ratings. Based on overall performance, Saturn approached the Lubbock organization to take over several underperforming stories in the DFW metro area. In 2009, Saturn was an unfortunate casualty of the restructuring of General Motors which left the dealership to operate as an independent pre-owned facility, Holt Certified Cars. With the great customer network that was built, the organization was able to survive the next year providing service and sales of pre-owned vehicles.

In early 2011, the Hurst location was awarded the highly anticipated Fiat studio to introduce the “euro designed” Fiat 500. As Studio Manager, Jeff oversaw the remodel and launch of the Fiat brand in North Tarrant county.

After much consideration, prayer, and counsel, Jeff joined the Sidco Auto team in February 2012, in order to grow the organization and help customers find the highest quality cars while saving money.
